ETRU, both with internal resources and in collaboration with national and international partners, ensures the enhancement of the heritage through the organization of exhibitions and conferences, the promotion of scientific research and its communication to the public, encouraging the active participation of the scientific community and citizens and developing close links with the territory, in particular with the sites, bodies and institutes of origin of its collections.
The ETRU Museum aims to constitute an integrated network of cultural sites and institutions aimed at fostering cultural and social growth and the economic development of the territorial realities that its collections represent, encouraging the formation of heritage communities in the spirit indicated by the Council of Europe's Framework Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society (Faro 2005).
